77 diff in a 80 spider

77 diff in a 80 spider
Can a 77 diff be swap into a 80 spider with out changing the drive shaft and rear trailing arms long and short.

You MUST change the panhard rod.
There maybe enough wiggle in the driveshaft for the original to work. Just loosen the center support bolts before bolting it to the diff, then don't forget to tighten them again.
