Used to post on the old fs.com as I think nick fury or somthing like that.
I have owned a 1981 fiat 124 from 1990, sadly I had parked it when I realized it wouldent be practacle to be used as a daily driver....... So I stuffed it away for nearly twenty years in my parents Quonset on our family farm in Saskatchewan Canada.
Fast forward to today I live in Vancouver and have purchase 2 fiat 124 spiders since I have moved here for under 500 dollars a 1972 and a 1974 boath under scrutiny I determend them boath to be too rusty for me to repair, so basically I just had some fun with them driving and eventually stripping the good parts and scraping the rusted hulks. Also our farm is now leased and I had to have the little bitch shipped here (I call it that cause the financial greef she has caused me) all in all it is great shape no rust and under 50,000 km. I have some projects I would like to do with this car, new wheels and tires trimming belt, posable paint, it was covered but one side is covered in about a billion door dents from my mothers van.
Also I have some parts from the 72 that some one here may require complete set of front and rear bumpers in good condition I have toyed with the idea of having these installed on my 81 but it would cancel my collector plate I have.

Hi there. Welcome back.
Get the car sorted and we'll see you at the Fathers Day show in North Van this June.
I have a few parts up here but I'm finishing off a 72 and have a 81 shell waiting...
Clemente's has some parts but I use Ital Motors in Edmonton a fair bit and for bigger orders when restoring the car(s) I use the vendors in the States. Just use the postal service for shipping as UPS is very expensive accross the line. I'm fortunate in that I have a US mail drop 60 ks south of me.

Yes it is, just West of the marine training building in the park. I was there last year early but the rain kind of turned me off and I kept going back to the Okanagan where believe it or not it was sunny..modoc wrote:It is down by lonsdale quay I think?
Bruce (Courtenay) and I went a couple of years ago and had breakfast (eggs-benny)at a funky little place a couple of blocks up on Lonsdale..
If the weather is decent that weekend, I'd like to take a drive up to Whistler on the Sat. I have been to Squamish a couple of times in the Fiat but not Whistler in a Fiat for 36 years..

I think a drive to whistler and beyond weather permitting would be an amassing drive I have done it many times for skiing and fun, since the Olympics the road is pretty much four lanes the whole way. also a quick drive to the top of the local ski areas is always fun for a twenty minute tear.
I am not sure about the restaurant you mentioned but my favorite greasy spoon in north Vancouver is called corner Caffee on pemberton and 15th st, or for a little more home cooking Tomahawk resturaunt is easily the best place to have breakfast, lunch, dinner IMO in the city.
I put a link below, i am not sure if you can embed vidio here but I will try this

It's been quite a number of years since I've eaten there. Was a customer when Brian Adams use to work there..(left W Van in 79)modoc wrote:Tomahawk resturaunt is easily the best place to have breakfast, lunch, dinner IMO in the city.
Saltaire Pub near Chemanius has a great roast beef dinner as well. The roads around there were made with the Fiat spider in mind.
I'll post when fathers day is getting close and see who can get together for a Whistler run and show on Sunday. Cross the fingers for acceptable weather.
