As Jagger says, Please allow me to introduce myself

Post by lionshooter »

Hey y'all.
I've owned an 83 Pini Spider since 1991. It has 78K on it and is really in pretty good condition but needs a little here and there. Don't they all? Fix It Again Tony. Time for new paint, seats, dash cover, top. Runs great, when it runs. Parked for now because of a stripped manifold stud which causes a lot of oil leakage and smokes like it's on fire.

Welcome. Nice looking car. Paint looks good from here.

Good luck with the stud. Looks like that's the first thing that needs to be done. And the weather is starting to get nice down here. Actually had the top down today. Felt good.

Start me up!

Welcome,
Nice color on that one. Good luck with the manifold bolt, I found a thread that may help your cause, it has some good info about manifold bolts http://fiatspider.com/f08/viewtopic.php ... lt#p105673
I have a bolt extractor I picked up a few years ago at a hardware store called a grabbit works like magic.

Thanks for the help. Second time this has happened. At this point, I may have to pull the head and have it welded because the Time-sert is stripped.
