Hey everyone! Been following along with this page for about a week now. In the midst of a trade for my old 1970 El Camino (project) for a real sharp 1974 Fiat Spider 124. It is going to be a bit of a change, but I am looking forward to owning this fun little car. It will need a little bit of work, so I am sure I will be posting on here lots!
Looking forward to connecting!
Cheers,
Jason

Welcome to the famiglia. You will love the Spider. As a bonus for you, the 74's are the best year to own...despite what the 82'ers claim .
Look forward to seeing some pictures when it is in your garage!

Re: New Member - 1974 Spider
Thanks everyone! I can't wait to share some pictures. The car is in decent shape but there is room to improve along the way. Interestingly, the guy who did all the body work on my Elky, use to have a 1969 Spider. He is the father of one of my best friends and I can remember him working on it as a kid. I even remember helping drop the engine and transmission in! Can't wait to let him go for a cruise in it.
The deal is moving along now and I should have the car in the next couple week. Just don't want to jinx it until I have the keys. Signing up for this forum was uneasy enough for me. Reason being, I had a done deal on a super nice 1970 C-10 Pickup trade about a year ago. The guy went away for holidays and upon returning found out that his storage unit burnt to the ground with the truck in it. This Spider is the first trade that is been legit since that so I have all my fingers and toes crossed.

Kevin & I will both tell you that a '74 is the BEST year of Spider!
His '74 is nicer than mine, but mine's faster!
