Does anyone have any experience with the chrome latches that are currently sold by several vendors? Holtmann & Niedergerke has them for 200 euros (http://www.ebay.com/itm/300855389790), Spider Point has them for 99 euros (http://www.spider-point.com/framework.php/mode//), while Mr Fiat has them for $198 (http://mrfiat.com/part.php?item=Cars/Fi ... mmNew.html).
I'm not inclined to purchase from MrFiat as I don't like the wording on his website ("Seller makes no warranty of merchantability, or any other warranty, beyond the representations made on MrFiat.com ......... all products sold on MrFiat.com are sold as is, and seller makes no warranties that extend beyond any description contained herein."), and he seems to simply be a reseller of whatever SpiderPoint offers. My personal experience has been mixed as far as the quality from SP, so I'm wondering whether there is a real difference between them and H&N at twice the price.

Re: Chrome latches
Despite Mr. Fiat's wording, everything I have purchased from him has been very high quality, shipping was very fast (he is located in Atlanta, so that is not a surprise) and I would not hesitate to order from him again. His prices are higher than other vendors though, so I have only ordered items from him that no one else carries.
Don't hesitate to get em from Ramzi /Csaba at Auto Ricambi. They are my usual "go to" vendor. Products are top quality, and for just about everything, they have the best prices. If you don't see what you need on their web site, call them - they will either be able to get what you need or tell you who you can get it from.

Don't raise your prices yet!Ramzi wrote:Wow we're too cheap
I've heard much the same about Mr. Fiat, but refuse on principle alone, even if he had the cheapest price. It's odd that he doesn't, since he doesn't seem to offer much in the way of service like other vendors (such as help in determining whether a part will work, and after-sale assistance). Ramzi and Csaba are indeed my go-to folks for most parts (I only wander elsewhere in the pursuit of the rare, NOS, OEM stuff). I didn't think they offered them but right after I posted my original question I went to their website and saw that they had them.kmac33 wrote:Despite Mr. Fiat's wording, everything I have purchased from him has been very high quality, shipping was very fast (he is located in Atlanta, so that is not a surprise) and I would not hesitate to order from him again. Re: Chrome latches
Are your latches shot, or are you looking to spruce up the cabin? If it's appearance you are trying to improve, you might consider powder coating. I went with satin black, and am pleased with the results.
