Stopped by the painter to check progress. detailer had been there and had cut and buffed the body. still needs to polish it all out. Didn't take it down to full flat, but down to "shimmer", which is fine with me. requested the doors be hung, so i did that this morning. when we uncovered the doors, found a nice chip in one of the doors. Its on the blue and in a high visibility place. We'll see how good his painter is on the fix. Anyhow the detailer is supposed to finish up the car this weekend. He will do all the plastic, hood, and trunk lid off the car. Anyhow, here are the latest spy photos.

Re: my first chip
Very nice! when the chip is repaired check your clearances at the front of the door arch as well as the back. Common places for what appear to be chips are the door front right about where the pin strip goes and the door back right about where the pin strip goes. The hood where the hood may occasioanll drip oh so little and sip the paint. I only ention this because if the doors are a little out of alignment or the hood, the spot where the paint chipped is a rub and will come back with certain body flex. It is kinda like the spot behind the boot hooks leading into the trunk. That spot will often crack over time because of the body flex.
This is most likely not your issue since you dont have the doors on. It is the cause of mine.

Re: my first chip
I think i have sufficient gap to keep door edges intact. I hung the doors myself, so if there is a problem......
I am installing Harrington stainless "old school" bumpers. the custom rockers and air dam will be blue. I relocated the license plate lights in the end of the bumpers. just finished that mod. will use an early model license plate bracket. AZ doesnt require a front plate, so i will leave the front bumper without outriggers. I'm thinking pointy type cycle turn signals that i will mount on a separate bracket below and behind the front bumpers. should work without destroying the clean bumper line.
