I have been restoring/converting motorcycle.
Now ready for a new challenge!!
Just picked up a 1980 spider, always wanted one. I live in NorCal sacramento area.
Any one in the area?

So you did buy it! I had a feeling. You had that "I need to have a Spider" look.

I don't know if the guy told you but it didn't run when I got there. I got it started because the Air Flow Meter was not connected properly. That car should be a pretty easy restoration provided you have no problems with the title. I'm in Lincoln and another owner I know is in Sacto as well. Since I've seen the car, I know what it needs and what the easy fixes are. If you have any questions let me know. I know some great sources for what that car needs.

You might need this info given the title issues with the car: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d03/vc9562.htm It could save you thousands of dollars in back registration.

Glad to hear you're on the forum. There's a ton of info here. Feel free to message me. I am planning a Fiat run this spring if you manage to get the car on the road by then!

DMV never offered me that on any cars I bought. I just had to pat $650.00 in back fees for the 73 I bought tow months ago!
