De-Trimming Part 2

Post by davery »

I got the cowl off. Everything seemed to come off OK, but the washer nozzles. They have what appears to be threads and a little rubber glob of something holding the nozzle on. The glob does turn, but does not come off. Any ideas?

On to the headlights. How much of the headlight assembly do I need to remove? I have the trim ring and headlight out, but can not seem to find how to remove the black plastic ring. Do I need to remove the entire bucket? If so, how?

Thanks for all of you helping me out. Truly a great group of people on here.

the black plastic ring is held on with 5 clips molded into the ring. go back and look at the headlight install pix i posted this weekend. I have a picture of the ring. you can pull up on the inside edges of the ring and the clips will release and allow the ring to be removed. If the ring is really stiff, try heating it up with a hair dryer. Taking the headlight bucket out is an option. just depends if it is badly rusted and you need to do damage control.

The pic helped alot. Got them off. Now just need to figure out the washer nozzles. And then on to the door handles, which is what I have been putting off. Thanks.

I am interested in headlights. Did you install a relay? Can you notice a difference? I am thinking of buying these.

I installed a custom relay package the relayed everything that went thru the ignition switch. I have not hooked up my headlight wires yet, so cant tell you anything there.
