Bought a polishing kit at Home Depot and went to work on the wings and grille surround. Here is some before and after. Sorry for the busy background.

Re: spiffin' up the stainless
The kit is by Ryobi. Has a 2 1/4", 3", 4" cushion sewn buffing wheel with 1/4" mandrel. Has 3 compound sticks, black, maroon, and white. started with black and finished with white using a separate wheel. mounted the buffer in my table top drill press. ran around 2300 rpm. also rotated the head about 10 to 15 degrees and set the fool thing on the corner of the work bench to buy some clearance. still had to do detail on the wings with a dremel using the same sticks. Plan on spending some time at it. I also bought a couple of extra 4" wheels. The grill surround got hot enough to require gloves. Now it is great for picking up fingerprints. I'm thinking of puting a polymer coating like nu-finish on it for protection. Any suggestions?

Really nice work! Was wondering about all the little shining up I'll need to do. Ryobi kit on the shopping list!
