Paint Surprise

Post by davery »

So the painter has had the car for about two weeks. When we first talked I asked about the paint, as I have 876 Azzurro Met. He assured me he could get it. About four weeks ago I talked with him again about the paint. "No problem", he said. When I dropped the car off a couple of weeks ago I asked again, "Not an issue" I was told. Guess what? He says he can't get it from Sherwin-Williams. I told him I thought it was a PPG color and gave him a number of someone at TCP Global that someone had posted about a year ago. He said he would give them a call. I tried to access the TCP website to find the color, but could not get it to work.

Anyone have any info I can give him?

Tcp global has the chip and can mix the paint in any of the paint types. Sherwin Williams while good only has their color chip books and don't keep mor than a few years worth of charts. Tcp is the only place I have found on line that actually shows you the chip , the fiat paint number and then the corresponding number to be able to order the paint. Haven't bought mine yet ( next year), but it is where I will be spending my dollars

I gave my painter the TCP Global info. I even found on here of a phone number of a guy that works in the TCP paint library. They are planning on contacting them, so we will see.

The contact number of the guy at the TCP Global Library was from me, a while back. Please let us all know how it goes with the Azzurro met sourcing. I put mine on hold for a while, so I will be very interested to see if the contact info I posted pans out.
Thanks,
-Chris
