ok so as I collect body parts. I have a engine question. Currently the engine is a 1.8l carborated. Is there a kit to change it to fuel injection? or do I have to build it from an 81 2.0l engine. also What is the most housepower knowen to get out of the 1.8L?

You can change the 1800 to FI by using the stock FI components. Or you can use only the manifold and make your own FI, but that is likely not worth it with the limitations of the stock manifold.
If you are after power and torque, then a 2 liter will always be better than a 1800.

i'm more inclined towards 1756cc because it's more revvy. just bringing it up to euro spec 107/111hp would make a world of diference

I want to stay with the 1.8l. I was thinking of boring the engine, performance head, fuel injection, distributor less ignition, headers, and so on. With these changes would I accomplish the euro specs?

Why standard bore? They are hard to find, and if it's all apart he might aswell go to the first oversize to be sure the bore is straight.

sure, why not, i wasn't precise, i meant something in a normal range, first, second, third oversize, whatever is needed to make it work as it should, no need to bore it to significantly larger piston size

by the way, for some odd reason, whenever i find some old stock of fiat parts, pistons come in standard size, 84mm. i never came across oversize pistons in a "fiat ricambi originali" packaging. just my luck
