Does anyone know what these wires are for on my 1985 Pininfarina Spider Azzura? They are a really long strand of two wires (orange/white and violet/black) and end in a 2 pin connector that has a shunt that connects the two ends. They are wired into the harness so are not an aftermarket modification. I cannot find reference to them on my wiring diagrams.
Thanks a lot, Scott

Re: Myster Wire
that might be your seatbelt chime circuit and the shunt is bypassing the belt

I don't believe those are the trunk solenoid, trunk switch, nor the seat belt chimes as I am able to identify those wires already.

Re: Myster Wire
I only have 2 long sets of that type. one is 12V/gnd for radio, the other is the reverse light switch. The purple blacks are ground on the 80. since someone jumpered them, it is probably not a 12v/gnd as that would blow a fuse. May want to see if it goes to the reverse light switch on the back of the tranny.
