FNG! From upstate ny

Hey everyone, my names mike I am from upstate ny, I have a fiat 2000, my father has had it forever and now I'm taking it and plan on making it into a fun little car, it's in decent body condition needs a paint job and a full restoration kinda, but the motor is solid. I've been thinking and looking into different possibilitys, Ik I'm kinda jumping the gun into this but I'm still in the research and development of it, I drive a 400whp subaru legacy which is turboed, I love boost and ice seen that far and few of these have been turboed... From what I've seen they weren't that reliable, I wouldn't put one of those on due to being an old turbo they won't be nearly as efficient as the newer ball bearing turbos... I've also seen the carb upgrades and dual carbs, or a single bigger one, pros and cons to both? Aswell if I did turbo it which would be the better way to go, a single bigger carb or duals? It's just going to. Be a around town lets go have some fun type of car for me, I'd like it to have alittle nut behind it tho, most Lilly I'm going to be keeping it no turbo for awhile at least till I get it all gone through and cleaned up. I'm just wondering possibilities to think about and stew on for awhile, any help is greatly appreciated, sorry if its a lot at once or in the wrong thread! Thanks -mike

Hi Mike,
Welcome to the site. Lots of folks here that have tons of useful info.
Ref to the Turbo as I recall Legend Turbo installed their units after the spiders were delivered to the states. They come up for sale from time to time. I don't know if they are rebuildable or not. Good luck with your search.

Thanks guys, I'm from Saratoga springs, and yeah thanks that was one of my questions was e pictures, but yeah I have to pull it out and get her washed off, it needs a paint job due to the bad sun fade but that's the least of my worries lol ill have the body shop clean it right up once I get her running good! And yeah I the whole turbo thing was more for when I get her running better but I am prolly gonna do a different carb and looking into the parts and costs of doing somthing like that, and if the motor/ tranny will take for power wise, but yeah glad to see a good online community for these cars! Nice to meet everyone!
