I've been able to keep the Milano Platnium on the road for a year, so maybe I should credit my wrenching skills at least that much.

Keeping it Italian, I service these around town when time allows. Doing so funds the hobbies/Fiats. This hot rod is mine. I fully restored it and converted it to propane for use out on my patio. Dunno, just always wanted one, now I have several!

The engine looks fantastic! Black valve covers with red stripes are top class, excellent choice!
And i bet that the Alfa 75 (that's how we call the Milano in Italy) is great fun as a daily driver
The engine note of the Busso V6 engine is priceless

Thanks to each of you!

I was able to get enough time in the garage to strip most of true paint off of the right side of the engine bay. I'll have another go at it tomorrow. Aircraft stripper is like an old friend, and it works so well as to be somewhat un-nerving to watch.

I hope to get the Spider into the garage next week. It's the organ doner for this project, but it will rise again some day.


The BMW alloys look quite good on the Coupe. Just had to increase the center bores to clear the hubs in the front, and use specialized lugs. Note the modded Abarth center caps that I adhered to the Bimmer wheel centers.

Progress was made between bottle feelings and nap times today. I did this with the audio/video baby monitor on the roof of the Coupe. I washed thoroughly and changed my clothes before handling little George, and the exposed metal is treated to prevent oxidation.

My inspiration is LA's Special's Sedan engine bay, but I'm really going for a tidy driver quality.

i really like the look of the wheels!!!!

what size are they? what year BMW did they come off of? and what type of "specialized" lugs did you use?

Thanks! They're 14x6 with a 4/100 bolt pattern. I used the lugs that once attached the dealer optioned Roosevelt alloy wheels, but I'm sure that a set of "wobble" lugs would also do fine. I've got many thousands of miles in this set up, and have had no problems.
