Hey everyone,
I own a 1977 Fiat 124, it's been sitting in my garage for about 15 years. Now I'd like to get it up and running for my son.
The last time I drove the car it was mechanically sound, although I believe it was missing some smog equipment.
I would appreciate any advice on where to start? Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in the Los Angeles area?
Thanx in advance!
Dave

Update - 2 months after un-burying her from a pile of junk, unseizing the engine, new brakes, tires, battery, going through the electronics & replacing a bunch of stuff. She's now reasonably road worthy! Getting her smogged should be interesting.

If anyone can get your car smogged it would be Mark Allison. If he can't do it, it can't be done. There is no one more knowledgeable of California's requirements. That's my opinion. Good luck !!

I am in Newbury Park and another very new member (see http://www.fiatspider.com/f08/viewtopic ... 13&t=23912) is in Westlake. Established members in Ventura and Simi. Have any of you met, or have there been any "outings" in or around this area? Isn't there a critical mass?
