I just started to restore my 1976 124 and am finding that the electrical is the part that will give me the biggest problem. I am sure I will have loads of questions.

Hi there.
I guessing you are in Bath South Dakota and not Bath Somerset...
Anyway you'll find most of the electrical gremlins are ground related. Also pull all the fuses and with a bit of fine emery cloth or dremel with a small wire brush, give the contacts in the fuse holder a go and shine them up a bit.
