Fuse diagram?

Post by PleasantSpider »

Just purchased a 1975 Spider not long ago and have begun sorting out it's issues. Any idea where I can find an easy-to-read fuse diagram? My fuse box is missing its cover (if there even is such a thing, and if there was I would have assumed there would be a diagram on it) and I am trying to determine if all that are in it are correct.

There is no diagram on the fuse box cover.
Only numbers.
You will find diagrams at artigue.com, but I have never found 1975 diagrams on the net.
I think they are close to 1976
good luck

I don't have a 75 but I found a file that contained lots of diagrams, this one is from 76.
Hope it helps.

Thanks everyone! I think what I really need is an owner's manual. I have the shop manual that is pretty thorough. Either way, the rules do not apply now that we've gotten involved in the project....

We have a couple issues, the main one being the jury-rigging we have found in the wiring. The cooling fan wasn't working and when we started looking for the reason why we found all sorts of fun mysteries to solve. The first issue was a blown fuse on one of the in-line connections under the steering wheel. Of the 4 that are supposed to be under there we found that 2 were not even hooked up. Once we got all of the obvious things working, the fan didn't work. When we got the fan to work, other things didn't work. Now, the whole dash is torn apart, wires everywhere, nothing the color is it supposed to be....a real headache. It's good my husband loves a challenge.

Now that the front panel is out and given that we need to install a new heater core and pipes, we are investigating a new dash. The soft dash is pricey and the "dash cap" looks too good to be true.... any thoughts on that? I'll poke around the forum to see what other folks have done....

A-HA! Found a 1976 Owner's Manual online. Turns out the fuses go A through L, right to left, not left to right like normal people might order them.... will see if that's part of the problem among other things...

The fuse boxes are labeled inside. Need to lay on your back with a flashlight to see the markings sometimes.
