Spark plug order

Silly question. What's the spark plug order? Is #1 nearest the firewall and #4 is nearest the front bumper? Just want to ensure I hookup the spark plugs correctly. I don't see it in the manual I have anywhere.

Also starting up for the 1st time after top end rebuild. Any advice or do I just crank it over and keep my fingers crossed... with a fire extinguisher close by just in case?

1 at the radiator, 4 at the firewall
