No spider!
The only one I've seen recently was about 2500 miles away in Perth, Western Australia, about 3 weeks ago. I've got an '82, 2 litre 131 Superbrava.

Hello and welcome! Couple of Aussies contribute regularly to this forum. That 131 is a great car; mine was an orange '75, labeled a "Mirafiori", with "climatizata". Got any pictures?

Maybe the Coriolis effect has been playing havoc with the electrons coming from north to south, but I can't find any way of attaching photos to posts. Is there a simple way of doing it?

Next time you're out west, give me a call. Great to talk to interstate-based Fiat enthusiasts.131 wrote:The only one I've seen recently was about 2500 miles away in Perth, Western Australia, about 3 weeks ago. I've got an '82, 2 litre 131 Superbrava.

Re: No spider!
Earlier this year I bought another 131, same colour, model and year as the one I already had. It was last registered in '95, good paint, no rust, perfect interior and a rebuilt motor with zero miles on it. I purchased it off Ebay in Brisbane, QLD, some mates organised to get it to Sydney, NSW, I then flew up with my eldest son and drove it 1300kms to Tasmania.
The new motor has about 3000kms on it but is leaking a lot of oil from the head gasket on the exhaust side. I've been building a motor for the other car over the last 18 months, so it will now go into this car. 1800 head from a 132, stainless valves, 40/70 inlet, 70/30 exhaust cams, twin 40 IDFs, headers and 2" exhaust. Lightened flywheel, new clutch and rebuilt gearbox. Stiffer springs and yellow konis all round, 132 disc rear end and 15" wheels with 195/50 sticky rubber.
It should be a a fun toy to commute to work in the morning.

I've been here nearly 3 years, just never posted photos. I know a spot where the crayfish are up to a metre long, but they're protected and big fines apply if you disturb them.PininF wrote:Welcome onboard 131, I'm so looking forward to a future weekend club run down your way...
