New to me 1979 Spider

Post by Timebandit »

Picking up my new to me 1979 spider on sat. Will post pics once i get it home.
Previous owner has had the car since 1993. Needs a little bit of interior work but nothing i cannot handle.
The only major work I'll need to do is to fix the transmission secondary shaft "plug". The last ride it went out, the plug basically popped out on the way back in the garage. Time to get the parts book and manual out for this one.

Btw, I'm from the Ottawa, Ontario area, anybody from around my place on this forum?

Yep. I'm in Kanata. And there are others from the Ottawa area on these forums as well. Still restoring my 1981 Spider. Right now have an oil leak on the camshaft housing I'm trying to resolve.

Picked it up in Oxford mills just west of kemptville.
The owner bought it in 93 as a 50th b-day present, he now decided to sell it after 20 years.

Those little ramps are cool. Where did you get them? I need to do some work under the car and they looks perfect.

Those are car dollies I picked up at Canadian Tire a couple weeks ago on special at $69/pair
I can move the car around in the shop to work and or park it tight into a corner to save space.
