I just wanted to introduce myself and tell everybody about my car. I got a 75 Fiat Spider from my aunt last week. The car is in pretty rough shape but it was free. The car was parked in 94 after it broke down and never got fixed. For several years it was parked under my grandma's deck and maybe 10 years ago it got moved out into the woods with the top down. I just got done removing the seats and the pine needles/leafs from the interior.
I was told that when it was parked that it was having carb problems and couldn't shift into 2nd gear. My plan is to strip it down, repair rust and bullet holes. I would also like to get the engine running and add some modern touches to the appearance.
I have background in fabricating stuff for Jeeps so hopefully I can translate some of that to this car but I've never restored a car before so this will be a learning experience.
If you have any tips or suggestions that would be greatly appreciated.

The bullet holes would be from my cousins target practice.
I live in MN, the car spent most of its life in the Black Hills in SD.
I don't currently have any pictures but I might make a build thread or just put some here.
