Hello all,
Is it possible to "restore" an uncracked original windshield?
My 34 year old one has sure seen its share of pitting, dings, and general abuse!
Being that its not cracked and in one complete piece I was curious as to what is available other then a replacement part.
Thank you.

Re: Front windshield resurface?
I tried the Eastwood polishing system on my old sandblasted windshield. It didn't do a thing. Recently I've seen other products that claim to work. Try googling "windshield scratch removal" and if you find something that actually works let us know.
I ended up finding a nice used windshield and had it professionally installed. But if you want to do it yourself here is the definitive "how to" post:

Good luck.

There is no way to remove pitting. There are compounds that will polish and cut glass but bythe time you get down to the level of the pit you will have distortion as the surface will no longer be flat.
