Fluid mixup

Post by rjkoop »

Let's say hypothetically (ie. I did this but am embarassed to admit it - ) that you replaced the diff fluid with 1 bottle of 80W90 gear oil and a small amount (1/5 of the bottle maybe) of 85W140 gear oil by accident. Would you re-drain and redo or just leave it? I bought 2 quarts at Cdn Tire and although there were in the same place I guess someone put the wrong gear oil in with the 80W90. I didn't noticed until after I was done the job.
