Hazard lights
Hazard lights
Okay, I put a new hazard switch in a few months ago and the clock stopped working. NBD assumed it was coincidental but at the same time a strange ticking noise started while the car was just sitting with key out. Again didn't bother anything but now the battery is dying after sitting a few days so I'm thinking there is a short or I put it in wrong. Not sure I would get it wrong because the blinkers work, sort of, and the hazards work so any ideas? May be I just need a new battery.

Maybe you just pissed off the clock when the wire from the hazard pulled its ground partially out, and it is creating all kinds of resistance and draining your battery.blakevan wrote:Okay, I put a new hazard switch in a few months ago and the clock stopped working. No idea. I'd remove the dash panel first and check the clock connectors, unknot them from the hazard switch connectors. It is hard to get the hazard switch on wrong AND muck up the clock; I suspect you'l find a nasty loose wire or two when in there.
