radio wiring

Post by brackie1 »

Does anyone know which wires are needed to wire a radio. There is no plug to plug into the radio. There was a rdio in it but it was mnot wired up. I have a diagram but it is not helping. Thanks for any help.

If you don't mind it not switching off with the ignition then you can get power and ground from the cigarette lighter.

Great idea I never thought of getting the power from the lighter. I was thinking of coming directly off of the battery but that would require running wire. I like the lighter idea. Thanks

I tapped into the "Key In Ignition" reminder circuit. When you put the key in the ignition, the radio comes on and turns off when the key is removed. It has to be tapped before the relay.

Not my idea; I read it about it on this forum several years ago.
