You're saying the engine turns, if turned by hand? But the starter won't turn it? Could the battery be low, or some other electrical issue causing the starter not to get enough current?

Since the car has made it home, it sounds as if the fuel pump is trying to turn. All electrical turns on, but no engine starts occur. Before the car reached it's destination that it's currently at, any time it went above 55mph, the oil pooled very badly.

Fuel, spark(at the right time) and compression. Remember if you have all three the engine should run. So, I'd sort that out before going too much further. Use a timing light after checking for spark. Put the lead on #4 and make sure it is firing when it should. I believe your timing marks are on the plastic cover. The belt might have slipped a few teeth or the dist. hold down bolt is loose?
Get the basics done first. (Right eh Keith... :) )
Not sure what you mean by the oil hitting the fan and spraying oil. The fan comes on when the coolant is above 190 deg. then the fan stops. Perhaps it is leaking out of the cam tower oil seal behind the cam wheels and then spraying back. If so the head has to come off and the seals replaced. A competent person would have that evolution done in about 4 hours tops, but although it will bring discussion, I would then have the head re-surfaced as well when it is off.
Good luck eh...

Oh, by the way, welcome, wonder if you've been seeing the news reports about your American brethren in the North East and resisting a smile... Us Canucks back east are getting wacked as well...

Can't check the timing since the motor won't turn over- have to solve that first now, but before this last ride- it was replaced and doing just great. As for the oil problem, the pressure was going into the valve covers causing valve cover gasket to leak at the front of the valve cover. Replaced gasket 3 times. Oil would spray after gasket ruptured into the spinning fan. When I would exit the freeway or after high speeds, is when the car would get up to a high enough temperature to cause the fan to kick on, spraying the oil throughout the engine compartment and onto electrical components. Once I get the car running, I will try to trouble shoot the leak which has been my primary concern.
Thanks again everyone for your input, I can't believe the amount of help if have gotten- and stay warm in all the snow!

One or more of the oil drain channels back to the sump is likely clogged?

It sounds as if there is more then just a leak going on. In order to spray there has to be pressure, more than normal which would be relieved via the PCV system. I would consider a possible head gasket problem or even a holed piston or shot rings.
I a little confused on this but does the engine actually turn or is it frozen?

The pressure tests have all passed and the PCV was replaced. Additionally, several things were attempted to be utilized to de- clog any potential blockages- but no fix has still come of it.

Hello:

I'm here in Rio Rico, not too far away and just read your postings. I have a few days off and would like a road trip. Send me a pm if you are interested in some help.

Turn on the headlights and turn the key. If the lights go out or get very dim, there is 2 possibilities: (well many more but these are the 2 big ones)

1-the battery is dead or low. Check the connections in the trunk from the battery. They may seem OK but may not be.

2-there is a bad connection at the starter. I would try to move the wiring on the solenoid to see if it is loose. You should be able to hear a click at the starter if the solenoid is working and the starter is not.

If the lights stay bright, then the solenoid is not working or not getting juice from the key to activate.
You can activate the starter by using a screwdriver or wire. If trying this be careful not to leave the car in gear.

I don't think there is any sort of "neutral switch" on these vehicles, but someone else may know.

Hope this helps. :D
