Hello folks. I'm currently driving the Texas Hill Country in a 2013 Abarth BUT I'm planning to join the Spider fray when I buy a '81 2000 tomorrow (unless something unexpected/bad goes down in the test drive). If the car drives as well as it looks I'll be a member of the Spider family by the end of the day tomorrow!

Sounds like you will have the best of both worlds! I believe there is a Fiat club in your area that one of the vendors participates in - check Craigslist for their announcements of meet-ups and drives. Keep us posted on your purchase. Welcome aboard!
