It looks like you've added a 3rd stop light! Didn't see that before.

Yes. Started a topic on that in custom stuff. What do you think?srwilson wrote:It looks like you've added a 3rd stop light! Didn't see that before.

Re: Finally something to show
i got the bumperettes mounted. took a little work getting the holes cut. one side needed spacers behind between the bar and car and the other didn't. since i got them on, i sat a license plate in place then set the tail lights in place to see how it looks.

Re: Finally something to show
when you're ready, i'll make you a couple patterns on where to drill the hole in the trunk... that should make it a lot easier and eliminate the guess work for you. The tail lights are growing on me. In the picture, those are the spare set i have that aren't in very good shape, plus they don't even have the gasket surround on them. I looked at a bunch of pictures of other car's rear ends with bumperettes on google. it looks alot better when it has good lights on.fiat218 wrote:i will have to look and see how you installed the bumperetts whan i get that way

Re: Finally something to show
yup.. i am definitely not going to use the stock light (early or late). they just stick out like sore thumbs. I picked up some c4 corvette lights and the brackets from the junk yard. I made these buckets, but the point that they meet and were welded, they are a little out of round. not bad at all, but i don't want to use them this way. Monday, i'm headed over to the local amish machine shop and going to see if he will put them in his slip roll to make them perfectly round.

Re: Finally something to show
scrapped the vette lights idea... ordered some smaller red (4inch) round glow ring led lights and the perfect sized steel tube to make buckets out of. i'll post pics when they get here.
