correct lighter wires per artigue?

OK, I'm trying to read these wiring diagrams and am finding it mind numbing. But other stuff is mind numbing to me too so no biggie.
My specific question is with reference to the lighter for my 78. I'm looking at the 78 wiring diagram and while it's starting to make some sense to me, there are two separate listings for the lighter.
page 2 shows a combo of red and red/blk for power apparently and a black ground
page 3 shows a yellow/black wire with a black ground.
So, why are these two entries different? Are they talking about the same things? They both reference lighter number 74.
Which I am I supposed to pay attention to and which to ignore and why?

I took a quick look at the schematics. On page 2 the red and black are for the lighter socket itself. On page 3 the yellow/black and black are for the light the illuminates the ring around the lighter.

It does help. thank you. it tells me i need a qualified person to look at this. And now my freshly salvaged seat belts don't fit, so I guess I need to drill new holes in the plates, which will leave an extra hole, visible. wonderful. Is there a category to just yell obscenities? I'm getting good at that.

please explain more about salvaged seat belts not fitting. You can not use the existing bolt and washers to secure new belt? Rather than drill holes can you find the right bolt to secure belts in existing holes? Is there some issue with the existing bolt holes? Is the salvaged belt configuration such that it does not work with the ergonomics/geometry of the existing mounting points? i don't think i understand. However, drilling new holes would be the last option if I had esxisting seat belt mounts.

the issue was with my ignorance, not the belts.
Despite taking pictures and paying attention when they came off, I didn't realize they had to sit nearly flush to the floor (the bigger guide part).
My carpet was so bad it was just all bunched up in that back seat area so I didn't see how they situated when I ripped the old stuff out.
I installed new carpeting with padding and insulation and did not leave enough space at the corner to mount the belts. Had to take the door threshold carpet back off and re install it, and shave the padding around the corner and then do a little trimming on the actual carpet pieces to get everything to fit.
This is a 78 with just the lower belt configuration. The hardware fits, although upon re-installation, I can now see that the drivers side is cracked when it's under load, so I'll start freshening up the salvaged spare I have and get that in soon.

Update: slowly starting to get the wiring. Blew a fuse and actually knew why.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to yank the radio and mount it in the glove box. I'll be street parking in Chicago on occasion and don't want to be showing my aftermarket alpine off.
back to the lighter.
hooked up what appeared to be the original hookup for a lighter.found a nice grounding wire. Noticed after I turned the car off that the little illumination ring was still on. I didn't even know this thing could illuminate.
On this lighter there is a single red wire for power and nothing else but a little blade connector that I guess is for ground.
There is no apparent separation for power between illuminated ring and the lighter itself.
There are no directions with it, I suppose because it is so obvious.
any ideas on what I need to do to get this damn thing to just work?

There are two power circuits coming to the lighter. The red wire is the always on power for the lighter itself. The black/yellow is the switched power for the light. If your light is on when the car is switched off you have somehow connected the light to the always on power.

I'll check tonight when I get home, but I believe on my lighter the ground came via the body of the lighter and the tab was the connection for power to the light. It should be easy to check with the lighter out of the dash. Just hook power to the tab and ground the case. The light should come on.

that would make sense. the black being the secondary power, if the unit is internally grounded.
taking another stab at this today. - on the good side, the car has never run so well as in the past 2 weeks- all sputters and backfires are gone, floating smoothly on new shocks, preparing for an 800 mile ride to New Jersey.
