Just purchased my first Spider. A very nice 1975 example with 99808 miles on the clock. Looked fine to me through my rose tinted glasses. Drove really well and felt surprisingly well put together. My Daily driver is a Land Rover Defender so any other car I drive feels rather sophisticated in comparison.
Picking it up on Sunday and driving it 100 miles to it's new home. What could possibly go right?
I look forward to picking your collective brains when it inevitably goes wrong.
Toby.

Hi from another from the UK contingent. You're a week ahead of me as I don't pick mine up until next Friday 11th. It's been a painful wait, but can't come soon enough. A 1976 spider.
Don't know where you are based, but if you're thinking of going to Brooklands in May it would be good to compare notes.

Hi Cyborb7. We're based in Surrey. What's occurring at Brooklands in May?

AutoItalia at Brooklands is the number one Italian classic car event (bar none). 3rd of May this year. If you're Surrey then it's probably not too far for you. If the weathers good then it's excellent event. Loads to see. Test hill plus Mercedes world track. Concorde exhibition and lots of other stuff. Petrol head heaven. Not cheap but your guaranteed entry to display enclosure with your car.
