Hi guys,
Past 3 years I am working on my 1971. BS, and I have some progress. Think it will be ready for painting soon.
Receantly, I got this drainig (I gess) part, which goes together with some curved pipe.
I did not fond it on my car, in the time when I took it apart, so I am not sure where this piece goes. Here I have scaned part of the official parts catalogue, where they, showed it, but I still dont understand, does this goes inside the doors, or iside rear panels??
It will help me much, if anyone has a picture of this part mounted on the car. I am trying to figure this out for a while.
Thank You in advance.
Unknown draining pipe?

That piece goes on the leading edge of the rear fender where it meets the closed door, in the position shown in the diagram for the left door. It's sandwiched between the outer fender panel and the inner trim panel. A picture would be difficult, because everything's black.

Thank You kilrwail, I'll check this on the car. Just one more question, is there some plug place or hole for the pipe, at the botom part of the rear fender?

If you look at the floor support behind the seats, you will see a hole at each end. That rubber hose goes down in that hole. the water then drains out the gaps in the interior rocker panels. (side tubes).

Re: Unknown draining pipe?
There may well be a second rubber tube/hose which carries water from a metal tray below the rear quarter window, then down and out through the same hole. I'm just about at the stage of re-installing both hoses. At least that's on my 72/73/not sure anymore BS...
