Am working on a 79 that my brother-in-law has partially taken apart. I'm coming with no knowledge of what went to where, so I'm hoping the coloring of the wires and Brad's wiring diagrams will help. Here is what I'm dealing with:

Re: Newbie's Project car
Looks pretty normal! Those diagrams from Brad are fantastic and should do the trick. Might want to consider getting rid of all that jute floor padding and restoring the floor pan with a sealer/rust preventive and a better insulation/sound deadener. There are multiple threads here on that topic.

Flooring is also important to deal with

Re: Newbie's Project car
I figured the wiring diagrams were solid, just haven't worked up the desire to tackle it yet. I will be replacing the shift boot and the floor is a big concern. There are holes from rust under the driver's seat (no pics yet - haven't gotten that far). I can see new metal work in her near future. I'm still working on getting the carburetor to stop leaking gas, then I'll tackle the interior. I'm sure I'll be asking lots of questions along the way.
