Hello folks:
I was previously a member of FiatSpider.com years ago. (long before 2006) and always thought it the best of the forums out there. I have a 1977 Fiat Spider (Red). I have owned the Fiat for about 30 years, so we've been through lots of issues, especially as the Fiat started aging. When the forum was inactive for a while(around 2005-2006), I was in the process of retiring and moving and just was too busy re-register. Although from time to time I did check the forum if I ran into some issues I couldn't resolve. And now I have registered and can become more involved. I am a lousy mechanic and about half the time I give up and go get professional help. Before I retired, I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area and it was easy to find a good mechanic. Had a guy I went to for years. Since retiring, I moved to Alabama (The Shoals Area in far northwest Alabama on the Tennessee River). Here, there are very few mechanics who have a clue about how a Fiat operates. Finally found a guy who is actually pretty good so he is the go to guy when I have problems I can't solve. Right now I'm having some issues with fuel delivery - looks like it's the fuel pump (mechanical - it's a 1977). I have ordered a new pump from IAP. We'll see if that solves it.
