Hello, found a lot of good info using the search feature for the forum but haven't really found the answer i was looking for. My 78 has a 77 rear end i swapped into it a while ago and the diff just called it quits.
I was wondering if there is a 3.90 ring and pinion gear set available to replace the one that went out in mine. All i have found so far is sets labeled for 78's and older but I'm not sure they would work/fit this in this type of diff. The diff is the pull out pumpkin kind.. Thanks!
Jeff

Ha! Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for
Anyone have any tips on how to remove the axle shafts to free the diff? It almost feels like there is something else holding them on other than the retaining clip. Thanks again!

Usually they come out with a little tapping with a hammer, but I had one that I had to make a slide hammer for.
Hope yours are not that stuck!
