Currently restoring my 1981 spider. all new brake system. vented drilled & slotted rotors. I converted my front brakes to Vas hi performance calipers by Vick Autosports. They work great! Only that Vick Autosports wont pay the shipping on a defective master cylinder. the part is $35 the shipping is $25. this drove me crazy trying to bleed the brakes with a defective part!! Anyway i changed the ball joints,upper bushings,alternator,powder coated the rare 14 inch cromadora rims and painted the car viper red. next project timing belts.

Welcome to the forum.

Sounds like your well on your way to having a nice Spider. Definitely get that timing belt changed. It's so important on these cars. I've been hearing a lot of complaints about Vicks these days. My go-to guy is IAP. Nice guys and they really back their products up. My 79 Spider is Ferrari red and I wouldn't have it any other way!

We're neighbors, I'm from Glendale, all of about 10 minutes away, if the lights on Crossbay Blvd are running right! But what are the chances of that?

It sounds like you do your own work, which is very cool and moneysaving, but I have a good mechanic in Woodside if you ever get in over your head. Maybe we can get together someday. I'd love to see your Spider.
