Sun visor/top catch thread size

Post by V12StealthHunter »

What is the correct thread size for the two screws that go into the windscreen frame for the catch on which the convertible top latches onto? Is it m5-0.8? Mine looks to have been botched by the previous owner trying to cross thread something in there.

Is it a captive nut in the frame? I'm thinking I could repair it by running a tap in it.

FYI I measured everything two or three times and settled on m5-0.8 x 16mm. Ran a tap through the holes. Cleared it up nicely.
