Hi all,
Been lurking first post. Great site!
Just got my 1970 124 up and running after 20+ year slumber and an interesting problem just popped up. The dash light that is behind/within the clock will not go out and it keeps killing my battery.
Played with the light switches/door jam switches but just don't know where to start. I suppose I could just remove the bulb but want to fix it the right way.
Best Regards,
Joe

Joe, I can only think that the clock is not wired properly or there is s short from the constant power wire over to the instrument wire. could be as simple as the spade connectors touching.
Buon giro a tutti! - enjoy the ride!

I think there is a possibility the ground wire is disconnected from the clock. On my 81 the clock and the clock light share the same ground. If the ground wire is left off the clock might seek a ground through other instrument lights. If this is the case I wold expect the clock light to be dimly lit not full bright.
