Location of back up lamp switch?

Post by bradbig »

After fixing a number of bad grounds for various lights/lamps, I still don't have back up lamps. I believe the switch is mounted somewhere on the gear box near the shift lever, but I can't see anything obvious. My Haynes manual doesn't indicate the location of the switch, but only mentions that there are two reverse direction/back up lamps. Can anyone tell me, is it easy to find the switch?

It is on the bottom of the transmission under the car. Do a search and you will find some pictures...

It is actually on the back of the tranny. Should have a single wire coming from it.
