Thanks guys!!
Alright, I'll get back on the dash now that the brake parts are cleaned up enough to send to Beek.
Course, I have any number of jobs still to do...

Beek is going to do your brakes? Is he just coating or is something fancy going on? Lol.

JD,
Nothing fancy, just powder coating. Beek does have my head and intake so you can guess something fancy is going on there. :D

Steve, guess what? Steering wheel isn't here yet!! so I can't work on any dash but mine

Forget the dash...
I figured while I was working on the back of the car I should stick with it and finish my brake lines. I am going to run without the shields so I had to make up brackets to hold the end of the hard brake line. The calipers and rotors are a spare set just on to line up my brackets properly.

you need to put a piece of vacuum line over the brake lines where they are clamped. that way they dont rub holes in the metal lines. just slit a piece and slip over at the clamp area

did you bend your own brake (hard) lines, or order a set from somewhere?

Beek,
any type of appropriate size hose will work? I will definitely do that!

JD,
I'm a tool hoarder, so any time I find an excuse to justify a new tool, I can't be stopped :D
I bought the needed tools and made my own lines.

Just for future reference, what diameter is the line, and what is it made of?

Jd,
3/16" steel, copper is also available and probably stainless as well.

So, I got back to my dash today and managed to get it all out and all back in but not hooked up again...
Tomorrow I'll start plugging everything back in. I'm beat!!

Here's a taste of the leather I have settled on. Seats, trans tunnel cover and bottom part of door cards will be the deep tan color.
I think it matches my vinyl wood  nicely.
The dash top and door tops will be done in the black.

Dark enough Andy?

After going in circles or so long I am happy with the choices. I was planning on chrome trim on my gauges but now that I have the dash covered, I think I will only do chrome on the upper gauges and keep with black on the lower, against the silver panel.

So tonight I cleaned up and reinstalled the upper ones.
