Hi All:
Been a while. Wife been driving the car so I haven't had time to work on it. Turn signals and wipers still don't work so,
Trying to fix the turn signals. Holy Crap! What a mess.
Finally fixed the emergency flasher button, well kind of, still doesn't work but the fuel pump comes on???? Tried following the wiring but it goes into a loom and under the dash. Still no turn signals.
Have power to all three wires on the blinker but no blinking. Been checking some posts but still no help.

Update, there is no power to #1 fuse in the fuse block?? Where should the power come from? The battery?

Check out the wiring diagrams that Brad Artigue has made available: http://www.artigue.com/fiat/ These are a great starting point. I have found them to be very accurate and extremely valuable in tracking down electrical issues.

I did fix some curious/mysterious light/bulb issues in my 73 just by removing the bulbs (many of which had a fair amount of white corrosion built up on the base of the bulbs and on the interior of the sockets. I also added some new, quality grounds to the frame, from some of the fixtures' wiring connections. At first it was very confusing, seeing a parking light bulb on the opposite side of the car flash weakly when I put on the opposite-side turn signal. An the whole light assembly on one side, was dimmer than the other side. After cleaning up the bulbs (I only had to replace one out of several) and adding the new grounds, everything works as it's supposed to, and all the bulbs glow nice and bright, compared to before the cleanup. I think my experience is a common one, from the reading I've done.

Fuse 1 also powers many of the gauges does the fuel and temperature gauge work?
Fuse 1 is closest to the steering column.
Power to fuse 1 comes from the ignition switch pink wire should have voltage in "start and run"

Update: Found out the wiring diagram was backwards in the listing so I was confused as which was #1. Figured it out, but thanks for the tips.
Replaced the flasher unit with a heavy one that I had bought. Took 1.5 hours tearing the garage apart, but found it. Still no power to the flasher unit unless I turn on the eflasher. But only the left flasher is blinking. ????
Did buy some important items for the eflasher and blinkers to help get them going. A new radio complete with 6.9 and 5.5 speakers. (I know but don't tell her, took me an hour to convince her that it was needed, thanks Fiat for 200 extra wires under the dash!!)
Am off tomorrow, so I will try to trace the wiring from fuse box to steering column to find where the power is missing. Still confused as to when the eflasher is on, why is the fuel pump running. I pulled that wire from the back of the eflasher so its not getting any juice, but ??
Guess this is a good time to pull the console out and clean it up, I do have a new heater fan switch to install. I just need it to work so the wife can drive it again.
As a thought, do all lights need to be installed, as in blinker lights. I have removed the front bumper and have not installed the new turn signals lights I bought to go into the existing bumper holes. I need to rework the front valance as it is pirty bent up.
As always, any help is greatly appreciated.

For the flasher circuit to work all the lamps need to be connected and in working condition. Most flashers depend on a complete circuit for the flasher to work properly. This includes the green panel signal light indicator in the speedometer.

Finally figured out the eflasher wiring. The main problem is the eflasher is bad. Tried to fix it myself, but it still did not work good. Will have to order a new one. Removed it and hot wired the blinker in with a jumper so it will work. Still cannot figure out why the fuel pump is activated when the eflasher is used, maybe is a problem in the fuel system electrical stuff.
Working on the windshield wipers, motor did not work and wipers did not move. Found the motor was good after I took it all apart. Don't recommend doing that as the brushes are a pita to reinstall. (thank god for floss) Found that mice had eaten the wiring near the motor. Replaced from the spare fiat I have in the backyard, thankfully that wiring harness was still intact.
The wiper mechanism was frozen, so after some research I followed the directions found in another post and drilled a hole in the stem, and sprayed in penetrating oil and it all finally freed up.
Took a while to understand how all the knobs work for the wipers, lots of help from the owners manual.
Removed the console to clean up the area. Found about 70 cents in small change hidden under the console! Almost enough to buy a soda!
Should finish up this week and have it back on the road.
