New England Noob

Post by spidah »

Hi all. Recently acquired my 1975 Spider and am full of "good" ideas and dreams of what to do to it... LOL. I also have a 75 MGB, and love reading the varying opinions of which car is better. I'll be tied if I can figure out which one I'd get rid of. So far, both are staying. Anywho - glad to have this resource to come to so I can feed the ideas.

i'm so looking forward to getting back up there for a visit. we used to spend the summahs in york beach on long sands and eatin taffy from Goldenrods. ahhhh, it was a much simpler time back then. it was awesome to go to new Hamster to just one state run store for your booze, fireworks, and lottery tickets. you could about live in the parking lot!

A Texan went to Maine one summuh for a vacation and decided to visit a local farm, so his host took him out to Elmer's place. "How big is your farm?" asked the Texan. "Well it runs down the creek to that big oak out theyuh, over a ways to the road and back into the forest a bit. Got 40 acre."

The Texan replies: "Why that's a piddling little farm, a piddling little farm! Now where I come from, I get in my car and drive all day just to get across to the other side of my ranch!"

To which the Mainer replied: "Ayuh, had a car like once too myself, but I got rid of it."
