Found a 1977 spider with a 2.0 engine and tranny installed... So I bought her. 3500 can. Minimal rust was a rebuild 20 years ago. Will have a few questions for the pros. I would like to just say hi. :D PS also got original motor and tranny with the car, some gauges, chrome and other goodies.

Is the 2000 carb or Fuel Injected? If it has a carb then check if it already has the 1800 manifold installed. It flows much better than the 2000 intake manifold.

Hi thanks, the 2000 is fi. I would like to rebuild original engine and tranny. Gotta sort out a few issues she has. A couple little oil leaks. Redo the engine seals this winter. Suspension bushings, very small rust areas on front shock towers, would like to give the 2L some more power. Also wanna change rear end gearing to the 3.9 ratios as I wanna drive on highway lots. Its pretty flat here. But all in time. I will post a couple pics soon. Just gotta sign up for photo bucket. Thanks for all the advise. Haven't done a project car ever. Done lots of planes and would have no problem rebuilding any fiat aircraft out there. But gotta run thanks again everyone
