Help,
After accidently smashing my left vent glass a week ago, I now have a replacement thanks to Leemartin.
Now how do I remove the vent frame without removing the entire sliding window/glass assembly - or do I have to ??
I've remove the two bolts directly under the vent glass and the nut hold the center pivot to the lower part of the frame, what else has to be removed.
Any assistance would be appreicated ! !

You have removed all the needed fasteners. You should be able to wiggle it on out -- I think it's best if the window is rolled down, but I can't remember. Sometimes they are a little stubborn. Experiment with the window rolled up and down in different positions.

Re: How do you remove the front vent window/glass
Alvon,
Thanks for the reply, you gave me the 'right ideas' and I had it out and changeover in 30 minutes.
For the benefit of others the process is as follows:
Remove all internal trim from the door.
Remove the two bolts directly under the vent window.
Remove the chrome cap with the two phillips head screws above the hinge (in the door jam)
Remove the nut holding the bottom of the guide rail for the sliding window/glass.
With the sliding glass in the down position, grap the entire vent glass assembly and wriggle it back and forth until it starts to come up.
At some point the external chrome strip running along the top of the door will pop up and off.
The entire assembly then needs to be rotated 90 degrees to clear the 'tag' where the nut was removed on the bottom of the assembly.
To remove the actual vent glass, undo the main pivot nut and the two small bolts/nuts and remove.
As the manuals say - Installation in the reverse process.
Regards
