New from McCall, ID

Hi all,
My pet car is a 1982 Spider 124. Have owned it since 1984 in Salt Lake City, UT and recently moved it to McCall, ID. It has periodically been stored in a garage for years at a time but thank goodness I didn't have the heart to sell it. Now that I have a bit more time, I look forward to bringing back to where it should be. Runs well but needs new seats and a little body work. Will be interesting to see how that goes since I'm in such a small town. Have been lucky to find a mechanic who has worked on Spiders who agreed to work on my car when needed. He made it clear he wasn't taking new clients but would help me out. Fresh baked cookies in his future!
Looking forward to learning from everyone as my fiat gets a makeover.
Hope to hear from others in the Idaho area.

It's pretty neat that you've owned it for so long! Finding a mechanic willing to work on an old car can be a challenge, lucky there is one in your neck of the woods.

The nice thing about these little cars is that you can do a lot of the work by yourself, there is a great wealth of Information on the site and people are always willing to help if you have questions! Good luck with resurrecting your car!

Jeannie, great looking car. There are a bunch of us in Idaho driving spiders. I actually have two - an 850 that I drive daily,

and a spider 2000 (1980) under restoration.


Would love to meet you when you're in Boise or next time I'm up in McCall. I've been thinking about pulling together a group of like-minded fiatisti in Idaho for occasional get-togethers and such...

Keep me in the loop if you put together a group of Fiat fans in Idaho. My car is tucked way for the winter in McCall.

Yes, my project has progressed since the photo above but still slowly. I promised my wife it would be done "in the summer." I just didn't specify WHICH summer...

I'll certainly keep you in mind if & when I pull together a group of Idaho Fiat nuts. Maybe PM me your contact info?
