Hello,
I want to congratulate every Spider owner for having this hidden jewel. I was completely unaware of this car; I was looking for a roadster and was thinking about the Miata. I started reading the history of the Miata and found out the Fiat Spider was one of the inspirations that developed the Mazda concept. As soon as I saw a picture of the Spider, it was no doubt... it became an instant desire and admiration for this Italian Sporty.
I finally bought a 1980 Spider with carburetor. I have being working with it for a month and really looking forward for my first spin on the New Kent roads... currently working on the timing belt...
I have some minor mechanical experience and I am looking forward to learn as much as I can to keep this little car on the road... with your help and patience of course !!!

Hi Ricardo, welcome to the forum! The Spider is a great car! You can make a forum search on everything from the hazard button position light to questions regarding engine build. The tons of info you'll find here is priceless. And yes, you'll also find comical discussion on the subject of Miata!

once you fire it up and take it out on a winding skyline drive, you will throw rocks at the Miata. these fiats have the most unique style of handling and response that it actually makes you giddy!
