New member from the Eastern Shore of Maryland

Post by Moose »

Hello,

My wife and I just became the proud owners of a 1977 124 Spider. It was her Godfather's since 1984 and he always said when he was ready to let it go, he'd give it to her. We're excited to have a "toy" car to play with again, it's been over 17 years since we had one.

I've been surfing the web and learning a lot about these little cars and scoping out parts availability, etc.

One question, is there a resource that lists original factory colors that someone could share? I tried searching but get hundreds, if not thousands of hits but, none that list colors that were available.

Thank you much!

Here are eight of the colors that were offered; maybe there are others. (There are often several varieties of Red) http://paintref.com/graphics/chip/fiat_ ... g_c_01.jpg

There are probably more Fiat Spiders in the DC area than any other place outside of SoCal. DCFiats.org is the local club, formerly associated with the national organization. Membership exceeds 200. Two local garages specializing in vintage Fiats; one in Baltimore, the other in Fairfax. There will be 40 cars on our next drive (November 2) departing Annapolis area. A great opportunity to meet other owners, check out others' cars, and gather information.
