Maybe I'm lazy asking is free...
Where is the C18-connector?
Do I have to remove the steerigg wheel cover to find it or is it somewhere deeper (more near the pedals)?

Re: C18 connector
I believe C18 has 12 pins or contacts in it. The 12 contacts are in a single row. For a left side driven car it is located between the steering column and the left side of the car. Near the hood release. The wires exit the base of the steering column.

Re: C18 connector
Thank you.
Now my rear light are as bright as they should be.
All connectors are cleaned with dremel and some electrical grease has been added to the connectors.
Somewhere at this board were discussion about electrcal greases, so here is my way to do it.
I add Gulf electrcal grease in places which have a possibility to get wet (like rear lamps) or some other way to get moisture.
The grease is same what I used in my past (>25y ago) at tram workshop.
Main idea is that you have to put really thin layer of grease.
Also the grease is used when you have really big fuses or you connect diffrent metals together (like Cu-Al).

Find all of the Cu/Al connection points in a FIAT and you'll add 60 pounds of weight to the car in grease.nalle wrote:Thank you.

Re: C18 connector
I'm not going to fill all connectors (cu-Al) with grease, but if I found oxide then I'll use it (after cleaning).
I still have the same tube of grease than 25 years ago (57g).
You don not have to fill the whole car with the grase, when you use it (60 pounds).
But if you like to do so, then you may do it.

A little smear or dab will do you so an 8 ounce tube should be plenty.bradartigue wrote:Find all of the Cu/Al connection points in a FIAT and you'll add 60 pounds of weight to the car in grease.nalle wrote:Thank you.
