Hello from so. cal. Please allow me to introduce myself, I've owned & restored a 92 Alfa spider veloce before; not so long after, I found myself hooked to italian cars I call "my babe's" (minus the alimony). Now I own an 83 bertone x1/9 runner and an 68 fiat spider project that I expect to restore completely within the next year or two. So I'm open to suggestions on "pimping" the restoration (given the rarity of this puppy) of the 68 spider to a car magazine, media production or other source in exchange for limited show, front cover, revival story articles and/or advertizing rights for a three year period. Machiavellic? maybe.
Drop me a line, thanks.
Cesar

Nice buy, being an early 68 please keep it stock, they are very rare... I would love an very early model
There are plenty of later models that can be pimped to one's heart content.
My 2c worth anyways.
Good to see you have the Italian addiction
Cheers David

Cesar, congrats on your choice of a very special model year.
it's your car and you can "pimp" it if you want.
Shame though, 'cause a pure 68 is great fun, just the way those Italian designers intended it to be.
I would know...
Too bad if you Frakenfiat it.

Thank you all for your replies and encouragement, i'm sure i'll be bugging you with inquiries about this or that, how to's & in your experience kind of questions; even though it came with a repair manual and has a few issues typical of many 40 y/o (like a lot of single women out there, no pun intended).
I'll be starting a new thread with a picture of this fourty something i call "Lei Pero 2" and begin a story on the restoration progress for all to share.
Sincerelly, Cesar
