Howdy! I'm rehabbing my wife's '78 124 Spider (owned since new) and when I pulled the head off I found two sensors on the bottom of the intake manifold and unconnected wires. I went through my repair manual but couldn't find anything on them. Anyone got a clue how they're hooked up?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Sensors on intake
The are for the emission controls. I would not hook them up.
One of them control which set of points is used based on the engine temperature.

Re: Sensors on intake
Yeah, they don't appear to have been hooked up for a long time so I guess I'll leave them detached.
Thanks!
