1980 124 no power at fuel pump

I know this gets asked a lot and I double checked through all the answers and found some conflicting opinions so I will ask again.

No fuel flow while the engine cranks over:

Removed pump, hooked pump to direct power and she spins and shoots fuel.
took pump back under the car(not mounted just held in my hand) and hooked up the wires, turned key to on...nothing.
Searched and searched for a fuse holder under the dash....is there really one up there? and is this the next check?
I would guess relay is next? can it be tested?
Also searched around the tail light assembly for a ground wire for the fuel pump as they says its there? could not find anything. Can someone possibly guide me as to where this sneaky ground is?

Again to confirm: 1980 124 spider injected, bosch fuel pump

Yes, there is a separate fuse holder somewhere behind the fuse box, should have a green/black wires going into it.

Did you turn the key to "on" or "start"? You need to get the key to "start" to activate the dual relay to send power to the fuel pump. You can also activate the dual really by taking the cover off the AFM and moving the lever to open the AFM flap. You should hear a click from under the dash from the dual relay.

The key has to be in the on position and the AFM flap has to be moving in order for the fuel pump to do anything. A failure of the dual relay will keep the pump from running, so will an air leak in an injection hose (not enough force to open the AFM = no fuel pump power). Of course there are fuses to check as well.
